KIRTANA RAJEEV
Kirtana Rajeev is a South Indian photographer based in London.
She photographs the body in shapes it isn't usually asked to hold, contorted, extended, still. Pushing figure and garment further than either looked able to go. Her images sit between reality and quiet dream, held together by sculpted light and tactile colour: earth, oxblood, monsoon green, the blue and cream of a wet sky. Colour you could put a hand on.
Her practice is analogue at heart. Her process incorporates darkroom printing, folding, scanning, and mixed-media experimentation, creating imagery that feels handled, textured, and deliberate.
